I left my fears beside the door.
I couldn't carry them anymore.
The road was dark beneath my feet,
but every wound made me complete.
After the rain, the sky turns gold.
Some things break so we can grow.
Every scar
becomes a sign that we survived another night.
After the storm has passed us by, we learn to see
with different eyes. What once felt like the end of days can lead us to
a brighter place.
I watched my old dreams disappear,
then built new ones from what was here.
The years had taken more than time,
but left me stronger in my mind.
